Class Blog Discussion

The class blog offers another venue for discussion of class topics. You will contribute original posts and comment on classmates’ posts over the course of several weeks.  The blog can be found at https://leadforsocialchange.wordpress.com/.  Over the course of the semester, you will:

• Post at least 2 original blog articles relevant to your team project and respond to comments as appropriate.  Posts should be around 300 words.
• Submit at least 1 comment on at least 1 blog post from every other classmate. This equals a total of 1 comment per classmate (i.e. 21 comments); each classmate will be posting at least 3 blog posts during the entire semester.  Comments should be substantive, “I agree!” or “Good post!” is not a productive comment. Think about contributing to a conversation about the topic of the post, with the author and other commenters.

If you want to add images to your posts (because they’re cool), you can add a thumbnail.  The dimensions are 470 pixels wide.

How to post on the course blog:

1. Navigate to the home page (leadforsocialchange.wordpress.com).
2. On the left hand side near the bottom is a link called, “Login”.
3. Use your username and password to access the site’s admin features.
4. On the left hand side is a column with a menu, select “Posts”.
5. Click on “Add New Post”.
6. Add a title for your post.
7. Write your post.
8. Should you desire to add an image, embed it directly into the post.
9. Select a CATEGORY to place your post into – you have 2 options.  1) Course Comments and 2) Leadership Readings
10. Click on “Publish” once finished.
